Tournaments around Europe
On Sunday, October 9th 2011 in Ittigen (close to Bern) the fifth Swiss
tournament from the European Challenge Tour was held. Bjarne Axelsen won
the final against the Swiss David Hasler with 4:0. In the Bronze Medal
game Claudio Brandellero beated his Swiss companion Etienne Flore with
3:2. 9 Players from Denmark, Canada and Switzerland participated at the
tournament.
Another European Challenege tour season has finished with the victory of a Croatian Kristijan Curkovic on a tournament in Sevnica (Slovenia).
The tournament was with no surprises.
The first places have been divided as on the World ranking list:
20 players from Switzerland, Czech Republic and Denmark participated in Swiss Sportmaster Stop 2010 in Bollingen close to the swiss capital Bern. The tournament was won by Bjarne Axelsen from Denmark who in the final defeated Erik Slechta from Czech Republic by 4-0 in matches. The bronze match was won by Lukas Vacek who beated the best swiss player Rolf Locher. The swiss tablehockey federation managed to arrange a great tablehockey tournament and there was even room and extra tables for spectators if they suddenly showed up and wanted to try the tablehockey game.
The tournament Friesen Cup 2009 in Wilhelmshaven in Germany was played as the 3rd part of European Challenge Tour 2009/2010.
Bjarne Axelsen from Denmark won the tournament by beating Rene Albers from Germany in the final.
Gerrit Janssen from Germany came 3rd while Tim Tigges from Germany got placement no. 4.
Best junior in tournament was Nicolai Dahl Jeppesen from Denmark who came 5th.
